Tomorrow morning will be the maiden voyage for my new fancy garmin locator

I have been unable to figure out how to link my phone and locator with the active captain app

I have watched videos and such , but I am just going in circles , will my unit work without the active captain

I want to be able to find structure with the side scan

Is there anyone out there that I could pay , to link my garmin 126sv unit and my phone to wifi and the active captain app .
I am old and unable to figure this crap out ...

After watching video after video , I am just going in circles .

I live in Milwaukee ,Wisconsin

I am willing to bring my boat where needed , from Milwaukee to the Walworth area if need be

The unit will work fine. You will want to update. I have never used Active Captain. I just download and use a chip. Garmin's website is excellent and their customer service is the best. There are many Youtube videos to help you get familiar with your new unit, and how to set it up. There is also a great forum on Bass Boat Central. I will try to post a link.
