Has anyone ever been here? Looking for info on success or not, accomodations, any info you can share. May be planning a trip there end of July, beginning of August 2020.
Thanks.
We stayed there a few years back about June 1. Glen and Shirley were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the lodge. Cabins were great. The fishing was good, but we had over a foot of rain during our week. Just incredible how high the lake came up, but it also created a good flow right behind the lodge where another lake comes in and the walleyes moved in. We also fished a drive-in lake Glen took us into. When we were there, as a guest you get one lake he will take you into - no charge. I don't recall the name of the lake, but it was suppose to have jumbo perch. We didn't catch any perch ( us dumb-asses forgot the perch minnows ) but we really got into some beautiful walleyes and a few big northerns up to 42". This is where I got a hook in my hand for the first time in 60 years ( I was 60 then). Glen can get a hook out of your hand like you wouldn't believe. I feel bad we never went back, but we like trying different places every year. Great hosts Glen and Shirley.
