502 was just fine. Some road construction right at the beginning. Then smooth sailing from there. Walleye count was down this year only 877 for three guys.

A week ago Saturday we had multiple stops as the road was down to one lane in many spots. Probably added 30 minutes or so.  The way back this Saturday they were not working. Some of the culverts’ gravel was worse than others, so slow down going over them.

Just came through 502 on Sat.   Wont be finished until late fall according to flag person. Temporary culvert  patches are rough.  300+ walleyes on Lake St. Joseph.

Drove it yesterday, they are replacing culverts so there are a lot creek crossing is gravel and there is a sections of gravel maybe a total of couple miles they are watering to keep dust down so boat is going to get dirty.   the further north you get the better the road gets, it was nothing more than an inconvenience of slowing down may have added 5 minutes max.

I drove it late June. Didn't think it was that bad. Yeah lots of culverts ripped out with bumps. so I had so slow down as I didn't want to beat my boat.  And one section of road construction. It maybe took me another half hour over normal.

Depending on your destination Hwy 71 west of Fort Francis could be an option.
