A group of friends have made several trips to Nungesser and we stayed at Birch Point. Lots of walleye. most 18-27inches. Our biggest was 31". Drift fish with jig & minnow. Pike are 26-36". Our biggest were 46"& 42 ".  Mepps& Rapalas are good choices. The owner, Roy, has maps. Bring a portable depth finder to help find dropoffs .

Going to Birch Point Lodge early August.  First time on this lake.  Looking forward to it.  I get the feeling its a numbers lake for the walleye, with a chance at some big ones.  Hows the Pike fishing?  Any other species worth targeting in the lake?  Thanks.

Yea, its been real ugly... Evacuations between NLL and Birch Point and Goose Bay have been keeping everyone busy. Seems like the communities have been helping out greatly. They need the rain gods to help them out!!

Have been seeing the fire reports around Nungesser and have been checking some faceook updates from Nungesser Lake Lodge.. Scary stuff.. Hope mother natures gives them some help and they save all the lodges on the lake.. I know water levels were low for our trip to Canada in early June and Ontario continues to be dry.

Well... the best spot on the lake is on the pier between 6-9 pm! Or you can find good drop offs that will get you about 18feet deep and chances are that you will find fish. The Wall produced a lot of fish for everyone in camp last week.

I wish I could take credit for them... I go up next week. My girlfriend went with my dad and uncle because this years trip for me is a guys trip. She wasn't having that so she went with them. She rocked it!! Had a great bite off the pier most nights from what I was told.
