I need a part for my 1990 60hp Evinrude. It is no longer available and have searched dealers all over the US and now one in Ontario. So far no luck. Any of you have an idea how to locate one? It is part number 0126133. It is called a rod lockout. It's a $7 plastic part located in the shifter handle and the only place I've found one was ebay for $99.
Can't find Evinrude part
Thanks Ulbian for making that clear to everyone. I was beginning to think the same as you. And thanks to all the tips from everyone. I have exhausted just about every lead with no luck from Kansas City to Seattle to Ontario. I am in SE Wisconsin and was looking for any place that had the part to ship it to me but no one can locate the part.(for under $99)
I do not know where you are located, but I would try Amherst Marine, in Amherst, Wi. It is a small marina but they have a lot of parts. I was looking for a part a few years ago and they were the only place that had one.
Call 1-715-824-5635 and ask for Jerry.
Good luck, tr
Are people even reading the entirety of the original post in this thread or is there a lack of reading comprehension going on?
A guy is looking for a part that's worth about $7 but can only find it on eBay for $99. He is looking for a cheaper solution than hopping on eBay and paying $99. Suggestions have been made that eBay has it for $99 and that other places have it for $99....which is the same price he has found himself. He's looking for a price below that. Unless I'm completely missing something the original post was pretty darn clear in regards to the help he was seeking.
On Ebay now.

1. google the part number, see what you can find.
Reminds me of a part I needed for my Sony TV. A Thermal-fuse, tiny plastic part with two wires. Sony doesn't carry then anymore at 3.98. Only way to get one is over $100.00 plus shipping on Ebay. Somebody buys up all the stock on parts and waits until a customer is in dire need...then the rape-game is ON. There ought to be a law.
might be worth a call to these guys
worst case, if you have old part, maybe some machinist could make one for you
