I bought a new 21 ft boat and am looking to put trim tabs on it. Does anyone have a recommendation for a name brand, electric or hydraulic? Thanks for your help. Earl

Old thread but I have a similar question about adding trim tabs to my 2017 Crestliner Fishhawk 1850 WT with a 150 Merc Pro XS and kicker.  I fish big water a lot and have tried a half dozen props to get my boat to plane faster and at lower speeds.  I find myself wanting to go below 15 mph a lot and am constantly on the throttle adjusting the speed to try to keep the boat slow, but on plane.  Started with a 3 blade aluminum 21p, but just went from a 4 blade Revolution 15p to a 3 blade Enertia.  Probably the best so far, but still struggling.  Think these would help?

Any other suggestions?

I would contact Warrior, it appears they are aware of the problem as the one they show on the website has trim tabs on it. They will be able to recommend the best model and installation location for you. I see they have them to the far outside edge so it must not be a problem at higher speed and trim. Probably a combination of livewell, kicker, and prop roll all to the same side at lower speeds and trim. usually just a small amount of upwards trim helps a lot as well.

What make and model boat? What is the main power? Is there a kicker motor?

When under power with the live well full the boat leans to the left. I would like to flatten it out. When hitting 4 ft cross waves it doesn't cut them as well as it should be.

What are the reasons your looking to add tabs, there may be an easier solution.
