Will the old transducer work on the same model of a new locator?  Namely,  lowrance x4

Glad it worked for you james d.  lowrance is slow in customer support..

I just tried it with my H-bird units and found it worked. The snap on screen units switched around, and taking it out of demo mode did the trick. No need to pull the transducer mounted on my boat. Now I have mapping for when I walk out on the ice also. Don't know about Lowrance.

had similar question on  a Humminbird, called their help line and they squared me away
