I am looking for a tongue for an older Shorelander boat trailer. Anybody know of anywhere that there is a boat trailer junkyard? They no longer sell the part I need for the year it was made.

Thurston, check with fabricating or welding companies.  They can get the material you need and can put together something for you.  Maybe they can attach a new toungue to the old one or repair it.

Right, if you can't be helpful, why bother posting, does it make you feel good?

I have a tongue off my old shorelander from 89'. I had to get new trailer 2 yrs. ago and took the old one apart. I also have the brackets, 3rd wheel and roller's. If interested give me a p.m.   Jim

Well for one thing I did everything you suggested. My boat trailer parts are no longer sold due to the age. Thought someone out there with a brain might be of assistance. Not some critical jerk.

Go to a place that sells steel and they should be able to get you a piece of square tubing. I googled steel sales in the rapids and it showed 3 different ones. One of them should be able to make you one.
