so I have my first fiberglass boat and I want to install rod holders. do I have to put in some anchors or do I just drill a pilot hole and screw them in. I know screwing them down to the deck is a option also but if I had my drothers i would rather screw them into the fiberglass.

If you have rails, I’d  attach there First.

I do have custom 1” aluminum holders from my 681 ranger if your interested. They stand 8” high, and you can mount folbes or Down East to them. They are strong and will last a lifetime. They R bolt on.

message me if interested. Can get you pics. These R custom, and will sell reasonable.
