Looking at 2020 vx178.

Any thoughts on the brand and boat?

It's a Tracker with Ranger decals.

I owned a 2020 198 and loved it. No issues. Got 54 mph. Only reason for getting rid of it was wanted a deep v for trolling.

My fishing partner has one. Solid boat. Only complaint is the boat wants to drive very flat. Very little response to trim. We switched to a large diameter 4 blade made for heavy boats. It help some but still doesn't perform with other aluminum boats that size and HP.

I feel like you would likely pay more for the Ranger logo, as Bass Pro (White River)  now manufactures the boats.  If you want metal like that, you may want to look at Tracker.

I have no preference to either, no bias.  But if it were me, I'd check them both out.
