New Alumicraft

I’m taking my rig in today to have it gone over and then storing it.   This will be the first time in 30 years that I won’t be on the water in November. Nobody to fish with anymore.   Anyway I’ll probably put it up for sale this coming spring. I only went through 1/2 tank of gas this year.    2019 165 with 60 hp Evinrude and Eagle bunk trailer.    Haven’t come up with a price yet.   I’m just mulling it over. CARPIO 

I fish at least20x a month, March,April,May in my boat.When the idiots come out after school let’s out I pier fish late evening/night. Around the middle of October I boat fish until the water hits around 38o.   Until this year! From now till freeze up it’s pier fishing Unless I hire a guide.    IF, I sell my rig, I intend to use that$$ to hire a guide.    As you can see, I fish a lot AND release 99.5%  ?  of my fish.   CARPIO 

Wait... you have a brand new, 2019 Alumacraft… and you fished 90 times this year OFF OF A PIER, instead of using your boat?

I’m not quitting fishing yet!  I’m fortunate to have piers close to good fishing. So far this year I’ve fished over 90 times off of them. Catch everything but eyes. CARPIO

Don't give up on fishing yet.  This was a crappy year to be on the water.  My boat got soaked 4 times.  Better fishing days are coming.  Better to have a boat and not use it often then to have no boat when you want to go.  It's not like the old days when you could rent a 14 ft. boat on most lakes

I am thinking of doing the same thing with my 2016 Alumacraft 145 Escape with a 30 hp ETec tilIer. I just had the three year service done and I only have 24 hours on it. I just don’t fish anymore like I used to.
