I’m taking my rig in today to have it gone over and then storing it.   This will be the first time in 30 years that I won’t be on the water in November. Nobody to fish with anymore.   Anyway I’ll probably put it up for sale this coming spring. I only went through 1/2 tank of gas this year.    2019 165 with 60 hp Evinrude and Eagle bunk trailer.    Haven’t come up with a price yet.   I’m just mulling it over. CARPIO

Carpio I’m not that far from you and I get up your way often. You always have a spot in my boat. I’ll even let you wear your Packers gear.

And I love hearing guys are buying new boats and still into it. That is awesome.

i must be nuts then..turned 72 in october..and  trading mine for a 60k lund glass job...figure if you cant fish, cant f and dont dance  you might as well die...the fresh air open spaces, the exercise all lots better than pulling the handle on the recliner and zoning out on the boob tube with barley pops

Carpio,

Im pretty sure you live on Tichigan ?? I am going to buy a new Lund Rig shortly and I love to fish Tichigan. If it comes to that , maybe we can hook up for a few trips. I am not as old as you, but I'm getting pretty dang close to that age, LOL.

I'm 76 and not throwing in the towel yet, as long as my health is good. Just put a new Merc on my  old Crestliner after 17 years of hard use. Tough doing a 100 trips alone every year running out of fishing partners. Old ones die, younger ones get girl friends.

Thanks guys and gals for your efforts to prop me up, I really appreciate it. I HATE the idea but I’ll be 79 in May. It really gets tough getting up at 2 AM and driving 200 miles round trip by myself.  I’m not crying in my beer because I love doing it.  It’s just getting too difficult.I spent a good buck rigging the boat. You get what you pay for.   Bago treated me well, especially for perch. There is a definite pattern to catching them.like I said I’ll think it over.  Again Thanks.    CARPIO

After all you went through to get that beautiful machine up and running this year!i wish I had the dough to take it off your hands.  Maybe you’ll feel different after winter is over.  Maybe take it to some new places?  Down south, out west, way north or East?

Say it ain't so , just say it ain't so. Even though I fished mostly solo this season because wife worked too much , I still was out and had fun , even when I fell over the side this year. Keep the rig ,
