I am looking to install an autopilot system on my i/o that I can control with a chartplotter/sonar system. With all the different brands and systems on the market, I am lost. Does anyone use such a systems who could point me in the right direction?

Tell me more about your boat/engine/sterndrive configuration.
A lot of the I/O's have power steering instead of hydraulic steering which makes it more difficult and more expensive.
Look up Octopus Sterndrive Systems. It's the drive required with most power steering I/O configurations.
What "chartplotter/sonar system" are you running that you want comparability with?
