Garmin Active Captain app

Anyone have this app? It allows you to use your wi fi devices ( I -pad etc)  while in your boat thru your Garmin sonar.      I think!       CARPIO 

My phone is syncing now.  It looks like I should be able to use my phone or tablet as another display which would be really cool.

The sync process seems slow.

Your device (phone/Ipad) can't use WiFi through your unit (graph/GPS), your unit uses WiFi through your cellular enabled device or WiFi should it be hooked to another service.

Some will allow the device to connect with your unit and allow them to be another display.

I have it and made life simpler for registering my 9" Echo map and Panoptix. Also able to do software update for Panoptix.

I have it on my Garmin,Have not figured it out yet but I believe it is for sharing maps and info with other Garmin users! Grandad

I just installed the app and will try it this weekend 

Carpio have  you gotten any info I got the Garmin 73sv not sure if that comparable  with the app
