Fortrex intermittently working

I have Fortrex 112 36V that worked fine up to a week ago, then it started acting up. I would push the button down and it would run, when I release the button and press it again, it wouldn't run. I do this several times and the motor starts working until I let up again. Can this be the magnetic button and reed not making connections.

99% of the time that will be your issue. You should be able to access it under the pedal
