There used to be a thread on this, but it disappeared...

I love open water fishing, but looking at the forecast, it was time to turn the boat upside down, and pull off the motor.

Been a bunch of fun!

I wrapped mine up about 2 weeks ago, with the weather really not cooperating, and other life events happening, it was time. also I was planning on deer hunting this year until that old friend...COVID ....snuck in there , just test negative on Saturday.

I just put the 17 ft Lund to sleep for the season today; winterized the motor, pulled the trolling motor batteries and starter battery, and put away the open water fishing gear.

The 16 ft duck boat will still be up and ready for battle until the end of the waterfowl season - 2 more weeks unless we get iced over before then.
