Ceramic coating on aluminum boats

Tough to beat Hot Sauce or Boat Drip nowadays.  Gets rid of water spots and adds a ceramic protectant.  The more you put on, the more it repels water and spots.

Been using a product by Jescar Ultra Lock Plus. It's a ceramic-polymer sealant for long lasting paint protection which has a wet look finish on my gelcoated boat, Not cheap but seems to do a good job once a year.

I bought some and did my truck yesterday. I'm doing the boat next week. I usually use spray wax a couple times a year. I'm going to use the ceramic coat a few times instead this year. It can't hurt.

I owned an aluminum/painted Crestliner and Smokercraft boat of which, both got a seasonal wax treatment in the Spring, Summer and Fall (before putting them to bed for Winter).  I used Simonize Ceramic Hybrid liquid wax with an orbital polisher - that was my Spring application.  In the Summer, I simply used Simonize Ceramic Spray wax and a decent microfiber cloth every other week (if I launched) and went back to using liquid wax for my Fall application.  Those that know me had a running joke - Dave doesn't like to get his boat wet!  Well, with all the waxing I did, yeah - the water would run off and any scum line that might have stuck was very easy to remove.  My outboard motor from the top of the cowl down to the skeg got the same wax treatment.  Without a doubt, you can use Ceramic wax on your boat.  With both of my boats, I started out with a 3M Ultra Performance paste wax (expensive) and I also used Collinite Marine #885 but that wax took some elbow grease to remove.  There are a lot of options on the store shelves - treat your boat well and it'll look like "new" for years to come!
