I am looking to replace my boat trailer in the near future. I have had a roller trailer for the past 17 years. I am not sure if I should switch to a bunk or stay roller? I am by myself in the boat (17 foot boat) and have a tough time getting the boat back on the trailer sometimes so just trying to find out which one might be easier? The other question is trailer brands any specific brand easier than the other or better? Thanks

Maybe a Ford / Chevy question...
I prefer a bunk type trailer.
If the bunks are positioned correctly, it makes loading a breeze.
I back in until my fenders are just at the water surface, and drive right on, three handle cranks and she’s home, and centered!
I ordered a new boat in Spring of 2020 and I specifically ordered it with a roller trailer.
I have a 16-1/2 aluminum with a 50 HP 4 stroke . Boat and motor probably weigh about 1500-1600#. launching is easy and loading is easier in my opinion.my boat where the back rollers are barely in the water. I launch and load myself quite often, I just think it's easier for shallow water and when you are alone. Once you are in deeper water at the launch, it really doesnt make much difference.
