I am driving 3 hours north to look at a '93 Lund Pro 1775 with a mid 90's Yamaha 70hp 2 stroke and a mid 2000's Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke kicker. Has a 70# minn kota trolling motor as well. Comes with Hummingbird Helix 7 SI/DI. Price is $6500. Does this seem like a good deal? Picture of transom maybe looks like it's been through some abuse?

Just an additional follow-up to Geneva Kids comment.  M&J Marine in Mosinee is the central WI dealership that replaces Lund transoms.  They will do it over the winter months.  My friend had the transom on his 2000 Lund 1775 Pro-V replaced there recently.  They installed the new Lund composite transom.  For my friend, he loves his 1775 Pro-V (owned it since new - 20 years).  So the cost of the transom was way cheaper than buying a new boat.

Just some more overpriced crap on FB Marketplace.

Probably better luck on CL.

When I was looking for an ATV,I could not believe all the liars on FB.Saying something is close to"mint"when that was far from the truth.Plus they were very proud of stuff, total time-wasting deal.

Should have just bought new from the get-go,and not wasted my time.Never again.

That boat was about 10to 12 thousand brand new.Now that boat would be over 30,its amazing how mutch they have gone up.I would agree though if it was closer I would look at it.

Age is a definite strike against it and a questionable transom. Too bad it was a 3hr drive. Might have been worth looking at but i only see a $3500-$4000 boat there.

When you do not even take the time to clean the water stains from the boat before you sell it you know this boat was not taken care of. Also way too much money for that old boat. Back in 93 that is probably what he paid for that boat brand new.

I want to mention that I have owned 3 Pro V's, all tillers and now own a Pro Guide due to Lund not making the Pro V in a tiller since 2007. I know a bit about the pro's and con's of these boats and believe me they have them.

The worst is the transom, 3 of my friends have had to get new transoms as they rotted, became soft and not safe especially when you have a bigger outboard on them.

The cost is $3000 for a replacement at the MN factory. Near Stevens Point they charge approx. $2000 but you won't get the job like at Lund factory I am told.

All Lund boats up to 2006 or 2007 have this transom problem. All three guys I know that had them replaced were told the same thing. The wood used in the transom wasn't marine wood and it reacted with the aluminum and gets soft/rotting. The way you can tell if the transom is bad is by taking a rubber mallet and hitting it on the transom in various areas. You will hear the difference. Another way is look at the top rail and see if the screw heads are loose, protruding up or discolored. My neighbor continued tightening the screws that wouldn't get tight due to rot.

Another thing to look at is the electrical panel, it gets brittle over time and exposure and needs replacing for switches and panel areas.

The price is steep in my opinion for that year especially with a $2000-$3000 repair.

My 2cents, Good Luck
