I was hoping I could get some help identifying the attached photo of scat. It was taken on May 4, 2017 in the UP on one of the Michigan DNR's GEMS trails, just north of Iron River, MI. For scale, the size of the scat was about as long and as wide as my size 11 boot. Sorry for not including something for scale in the photo. I couldn't ID myself searching the internet so I figured i'd try here. Thanks.

And just to be clear here, I was nowhere near that location.

if its as big as your boot print then its a bear or sasquatch.

It is most likely bear. I came across this and it didn't stink and had very little hair in it. I got 2 bear on the cam 100 yds from this scat on Friday in Price co. WIs. It didn't stink and had grass in it so almost surely a bear.

At the time I thought it was grass but I didn't examine it with my hands. I was thinking bear based on size alone.

I have 2 guesses. Is that hair inside the scat?

1) Wolf

2) Bear

Big Mac
