Anyone have any experiences with gator hunting? Would like to do a guided hunt for a gator and some hogs. Looking at Florida. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hunt took place in Arcadia FL. Nothing to crazy happened thankfully. We drove around on UTVs checking ponds. We casted rods with weighted treble hooks at bubbles for a while with no hook ups. Finally seen one swimming and snuck up on it. First cast and we were hooked up. The little guy fought it for probably twenty minutes and wasn’t getting anywhere. I grabbed the rod for a bit and that’s when it started to run. We traded on and off with the rod for thirty minutes or so before we finally got it to shore for a closer look. That was scary! Being only a few feet from it thrashing. At the end we had three hooks in it. When it was close to shore the little guy slipped a noose around it and we pulled it up on shore and finished it with a .22 to the head. The entire fight was probably around an hour. Definitely an adventure none of use will forget. It was so hot down there. Didn’t have any desire to chase hogs.
I'm going with Git Bit Outdoors. August can't come soon enough! I will report back after the hunt.
