I have treated plywood for the exterior.  Wondering if I need to spend the extra $$ to get treated framing lumber?

I got treated for the bottom of the frame that will attach to the elevated platform.  The rest will be protected from the elements.  Saved about $200

Any part of the framing that will be exposed to the weather or ground contact should be treated for longevity. I just purchased a 5’ x 6’ hunting blind and am going to build a 9’ high elevated platform to place it on. All the framing will be treated. $1,700.00 for the blind, $90.00 in exterior grade screws and $550.00 for the raised platform materials which will have a ships ladder type stars with a handrail. Soon to be 68 years old the stairs with a handrail will be better than a ladder access.
