Does anyone know where to find the number of bow, crossbow and gun license sales so far in Wisconsin?
Deer license sales 2018
Sounds like it’s time for a freezer check at the Icebelt Compound.
Head back to your bunker Ice.
No secret Mr. Cigar I don't care for the do nothing right. Guess what finger I hold up to them.
Sorry ice belt, people came to America just so the landowner would not own the deer.
I got to hunt 2 hours on opening day that's it will not be able to go anymore this year. That's a lot of tags left unfilled 12 bucks an hour to hunt that's a lot in my book. I own free and clear 100 acres I think I shouldn't even need a license to hunt my land just register them goats. DNR does nothing for my donation on my property. I haven't seen any deer stocking going on. When critters are on my piece they are mine. They rub my trees I planted no help from Dnr,eat poop and sleep the DNR is not housing them. The poor over taxed property owner should be able to hunt his investment free.
If you want funding for your DNR, you need the Missouri plan. A small part of your state sales tax goes to the DNR. Iowa has that approved but not until the sales tax goes up again. Our DNR won't know what to do with all the money.
Chucker and PnY, I am in agreement with both of your well worded statements. Well done!
You’re right. They don’t, and I knew that, was thinking of that, when I posted it. It also doesn’t include taxes from ammunition and the like, or sportsman’s clubs, etc. Full disclosure, I was a long time conservation patron without needing half of it.
I guess because no system’s perfect we need to make our voices heard through the Conservation Congress, writing elected officials, voting, etc.
That’s just my 2€
Edit - the separate Fish and Game Division isn’t a bad idea either, btw
Wicasa I get your point but your numbers don't reflect all the other licenses those deer hunters may have also purchased. I did a bit of looking and could not easily find any good numbers to support my opinion. I think deer hunters think they deserve more say than they do. I would like to see a seperate Fish and Game department with its own funding and control like other states.
