On December 5th I learned a number of hard lessons caught on film and I want to share them with you in hopes it helps prepare you for the unthinkable when you decide to go hunting solo. Lesson one - always share the location you're planning to go hunting with partner, parent or friend. Hearing protection when gun hunting may not seem comfortable and it may not look cool, but even if it's never happened before it doesn't mean you're not susceptible to get extreme vertigo from the loud percussion blast of a firearm; wear hearing protection. As tough as we think we are, forces of nature are stronger than any of us can ever be.
