We can’t wait any longer, it is time to get the ball rolling.

The Dude has been mostly absent lately, dealing with life. He also got adopted by a stray cat from what I read awhile back, and is putting an addition on his house to make room for said cat. I ran this once some years ago after Shedhunter went MIA with Bold n Beautiful (per lake link rumor mill), and before Dude took it over, so I am qualified.

All entry fees should be submitted c/o Bassmaster. Once a winner is declared he will cut the check.

Bass and Skihog also have their own two-man contest. Winner gets an unopened bottle of bourbon of their choice, courtesy of the loser.

Same rules as always, scoring details are in the screen shot. If you don’t declare your admission by shooting time on 11-19–22, you are not eligible. This is for the 9 day rifle hunt only, and does not extend into the muzzleloader season.

I am in.

Good luck to all, and be safe!

Well, it looks like grandson Lucas is this years winner, by just a slim edge over hockeyguy. Congrats.

Congratulations also to all the young hunters who scored, and to the proud parents/mentors investing the time to get them started. Nice work and great memories all around.

Bass and hog side bet cannot be judged without official stats on hog’s deer. He is giving you the Rompola treatment BMR.

Was able to get my daughter out for the holiday hunt. Got permission from a guy that wanted some does taken off his property. She couldn't close the deal during gun season but was able to make a great shot last night. 4 does came out. Gave her a 120 yard shot, hit it right in the heart. Ran about 30 yards and crashed. Pretty excited 12 year old she was! Her second deer!

My daughter was able to take a nice 7 point buck early opening morning. Would have been an 8 but he snapped a brow somewhere along the way. 14” inside spread, and with those brow tines he would have been pretty awesome in a couple of years.

I hunted a few hours and took care of it with her, then went back to her stand for the afternoon sit. Near the end of hours I had a buck come sneaking through some thick brush at around 100 yards. Snow is always a big difference maker. He ended up being 10 points and 17” inside. Several broken tines, but still long enough to measure. He must have liked to fight.

My son made a cameo appearance for my contest entry. 10 pts and 17” spread = 27.

I only saw the one pic if it. When I went back and checked a few days ago it was gone, but the rest of the post is still there.

I don’t think it would win the main contest, but It’d be nice to have the details before we declare the winner. Gonna need to do that soon.

Careful, BMR. Pretty sure I saw Ski with a post of a pretty nice Vilas County buck from opening morning….have not seen any stats, but could go either way. He never posted it on this thread. Gamesmanship, perhaps?

 Lol
