2020 Shed season

Picked up my first fresh shed of the season December 15th. First fully shed buck on camera for me was December 13th with 2 more shedding out on the 14th.

Yeah I was curious if anyone was seeing any antlered deer still.  Checked cams recently, had one maybe 100” 8ptr that was around pretty often during February and early March. Pics on March 6th he still had both sides then he was there March 10th missing his left side. I searched but no luck. I’ll give it one more look next time I’m up. 

At cabin in Vilas County last several days. One 12" 6 pointer still wearing antlers! Stones throw from the U.P..

Picked up 3 more this weekend

Found this while driving around our land on the ranger.  I have found more shed while driving then walking but I need to walk to drop the Covid 20!

No sheds still but I found my #1 I chased all last season... Dead.. bummer 

Tough year for me but with all the snow I’m not surprised. Found 1 small one end of January and another small one about 2 weeks ago and thats been it. 

Found a couple on some sheboygan County public land

I had a pic a few years ago I swear was May 5 or 6 with a decent buck holding both sides yet.

Yeah getting pics of bucks holding both sides still. A general rule of thumb I go by is 50% of bucks shed by Valentine’s Day. Some earlier some later. Have seen them in April with both side as well. 

Checked cameras yesterday. Had two half racks and the rest had both horns yet. Central Wisconsin plus we just got 5" of snow. I'll wait till spring

Walked for a couple hours yesterday with nothing to show for it. I don’t usually find any til mid to late February but I had nothing going on and after the holidays I need to drop a few pounds off the mid section so it was more of an exercise walk. 

Anybody out looking for sheds since the snow depth is minimal?
