After winning this prestigious award last year, I was looking to defend my title, yet no one has started the thread.  So I guess I'll have to.

The scoring is simple: number of points + inside spread. So  a 10 point buck with a 16”  spread is 26 points.

Entry into the contest must be declared before the start of legal hunting hours on Saturday 11-21-20.

Entry fee is free as always, with 100% of that paid to the first place winner.

If you do score an entry please post pics.

Good luck and stay safe!

Shot him at 432 tonight.  Was hoping my daughter would get a crack at him but unfortunately he went the wrong way and with her 223 it just was too far of a shot. But I wasn't gonna let him walk away.

8 pointer

12inch spread

I'm happy! So is she!

I took the first standing broadside shot presented to me.  doe = 0 pts.  Up here in Dunn county it was beautiful hunting weather and was able to sit from 6am to 5pm saturday and 6am to 11:45 today.  Thankful for my harvest.

Good Hunting!

Bud man, likely a clean miss. My buddy had virtually the exact same scenario and outcome this morning. We couldn’t find hair or blood where he thought the impact was, and made wide circles from where he last saw the deer. If you hit the deer anywhere in the body, you would have blood or a dead deer within 100 yards.

A clean miss is the second best scenario. Shake it off and you’ll get him next time.

Had the ever so dreaded miss this morning at least I'm hoping it was a miss. 60 yards broadside in the woods shooting out of a box blind held the crosshairs right on the front shoulder.  Never really felt to comfortable with my rest but let it fly deer turned ran towards some thick timber I thought I seen him go down briefly but then heard him crashing through the woods.. gave it 30 went and looked can't even find a hair. Looked 1 1/2 hours this morning before I had to race to work. As badly as I hope I missed I just can't believe I did. I shot my gun as soon as Thursday so unless I somehow bumped it it is sighted in. Every deer I have ever shot with a rifle there has been blood or hair at point of impact.  I walked a minimum of 100 yards in every direction he could have went and still turned up nothing.  Any thoughts? Thank you
