Any idea on when the wolf tag drawing results will be available?

Thanks, Easton Ace

Great job 'jigginjohn'. I know a guy who has used the MB-750 when he wasn't messing around. He even caught a small bear that was released by the DNR. He uses a 2-prong drag on an 8' chain. The catch usually doesn't go far. If for some reason it's hard to track most any hunting dog will follow the trail.

Did the wolf smell bad? Seems often the case.

Kevin at Lake and Sky Taxidermy in Delta, WI has a ton of wolves still visiting his bear baits. If anybody is looking to get a wolf, it's pretty much a for sure thing up there. You can find Lake and Sky Taxidermy on Facebook and see all the trail camera pictures he's posting of wolves.

Good luck!

I got my tag as well. If anybody knows of someone looking to thin one out or has a place with too many send me a pm. Looking to shoot one rather then trap. I don't think my coyote traps would hold. Would also consider a guide if there are any.

Seriously. Start walking and picking up every wolf turd you find on trails. Best bait there is. Log where the turds are recovered and use them in adjoining wolf packs. A new "scent" will piss them off and bring them right to your set. They cannot walk past that new "scent".

Those wolves can sure stink. Once tanned they are O.K. Of course. I'd go the route of an MB-750 on private land with some beaver bait, or even a blind set. A stout 2-prong drag with an 8' chain. You would think it would be hard to find but that's not the case, they go towards cover. If you have a problem, most any hunting dog will trail them to where they are tangled.

Does any one know any wolf guides?
