Swim jig bite offs

Lost 2 swim jigs today from Northerns biting through my braid line. Any suggestions to prevent this? Appreciate any help.

heavier braid perhaps (most people use braid that is actually too light, which really has an effect on the line's shock strength)....bite offs from toothy critters happen bass fishing, you have to take them and move on cause of you start using heavy leaders or wire, you will flat out catch a TON less bass.   Just stock up on swim jigs, its not like they are all that expansive...or better yet, get the equipment to make your own jigs.

Yes, tyger wire is a good 1. Also Twist weld, very similar to Tyger. Probably a 20 lb is applicable here.

Also, 7X7 Surflon coated is a 49 strand wire, very flexible, tie Able. Use a Jig Loop knot!

Just run a short piece of tie able leader to it. I use Tyger leader
