Fishing for bass in dark water

Any tips for bass fishing in bog stained dark water during the spring and summer?Thanks.

As mentioned before, darker colors will usually work better (blacks and blues).  I like something that rattles or shakes.  You can still do this on finesse baits with a small blade attached to it, and it will add a little vibration in the water.  The fish might not see your lure at first, but it will sense something is there.

Bogs do lead to a stain in the water, but the clarity actually remains quite good most of the time.

A lot of time those bogs are smaller bodies of water and the average size bass may be a little smaller so I would suggest downsizings a little.

Maybe some Chompers brand in a darker colored 8" shaky or 6" drop shot worms 8" Texas rigged and 6" drop shoted right next to the bog.

Chompers has that strong garlic scent that may appeal to their other sense.

A small white or yellow roster tail spinner could be a bait to use to cover a little more water.

Rattle baits,buzzbaits,and black and blue jigs with soft plastic craw trailer.
