the rut

was just outside watching the 4 does mill around the yard,had a 3 point buck come up and checked out the does.surprised 2 see that this soon! tryed to video it but he took off.

Was in Western WI this weekend. Bucks were running around with their noses in the air Saturday. Scent brought them as did rattling. I don’t believe any does we’re ready but the boys are definitely eager to play.

Found a fresh scrape, on my way to my stand. At one point,  i had 8 does & fawns within 50 yards! But no bucks came around.  Southern Clark County.

First signs of rut started Friday night with numerous mew scrapes and rubs.  This morning saw one of shooters at 8:30 AM with nose to the ground after the rain stopped in Adams Co.  I think it's starting!
