Hey, anybody know any areas (WI) with huntable snowshoe rabbit populations. Wanna get a bowhunt together this winter ? Use the equipment you want but this is a perfect time to try out traditional gear.
I would say 20-24 inch in the woods. You need snowshoes if you go off the beaten path.

well, I did see several sets of snow-hoppper tracks in price county this winter. I also saw some sets of bobcat tracks among the snowshoes. It appears the hares and the cats have an easier time getting through the snow than I do.

I have nont seen a snowshoe in 7 or 8 years in Price co. It was mid December with no snow at all so I thought I would take a walk thinking I wouls finally see a bunch. I saw one in a mile walk. Have not seen one since. The wolves got them all !
