Congrats to all on the great deer! Some awesome bucks here.

I’m especially impressed with the recurve kills. I’ve had the notion several times to scrap the compound bow, fancy gear, cameras, etc. and pick up the recurve. Fewer sources of frustration and a much bigger accomplishment to do it that way. Well done!

shot a little 8 in Price Cty early October and then shot a big 8 with a couple of stickers south of the border early November. The freezer is full! Congrats to all who scored and good luck to all who are still trying to fill your tag.

My son was able to finally tag his first deer with a bow last Friday. He really set the bar high for himself after that! He was hunting in the Racine area. Head is already at the taxidermist.

Congrats to everyone that connected.  Some very nice deer on here.

free2prowl - another great video.  You really do a nice job with your videos and I can't imagine how much time you put into it with all the different angles, drone footage, etc.  Very nice work.  Bummer on the buck, but kudos on the recovery effort and taking the time to reflect and learn.

Had the most fun bow season I've ever had. I pulled my bow back on bucks more times than I ever have in a season, but the big bucks had the luck and I never touched the trigger on any of them.

I passed on many bucks, had many encounters, and finally ended up shooting one of the six pointers I passed on earlier. Time was running out for me, and with the rut dwindling down, had to take what I could.

As I've said before, my best advice to being a better bowhunter is to be a better farmer and get that food plot going.

76 and still in the woods, that’s great! We are the same age and I had to give it up at 71 due to health issues. I really miss bow hunting every fall. I used to hunt out of ground blinds too. I was fortunate to hunt with my oldest son. We had some great years hunting private land. It’s not just getting a deer that’s important, it’s being out in the woods in fall and hunting with family and friends. Hunting with grandsons really has to be the icing on the cake. Wishing you a successful gun season.

Well another bow season is in the books for us. First congrats to anyone who bagged the big one or any deer for that matter. Its always a challenge no matter your skill level. We went 0 for the season with plenty of seat time, there's two reasons for that. Number 1 waiting for the big guy, he was on camera but never came in range. Number 2 missed shots  when they presented themselves. Myself at 76 just happy to be in the woods sitting in my ground blind with x-bow. My two loyal partners, grandsons 13 & 22 trained them both. Older one has developed his skills, but he believes everything he reads and is hunting horns. Younger one first year shooting compound bow so he's still on the learning curve.  Oldest passed everything, never shot..... Youngest missed an 8, spike and doe. So he had his chances but never wanted to leave the woods. Myself I missed an 8, passed fork, basket and several does. But still was a great season just being in the woods on our own 40. Getting out the blaze and 06 as we speak and the freezer is still empty. Remember if you got your choice between Luck or Skill take "luck" every time.  Case in point, my son a sometimes hunter went with us gun hunting last year, gave him 30-30 and 3 shells, he  sat in open 15' stand edge of field, no one has ever used, at 8 a.m., he shoots a 150 class buck, aimed for front shoulder hit it base of the skull. Now ask me again about luck or skill !!!  Good Luck ( there's that word again) !!
