Finally some open water action!

My son and I fished a local water yesterday. Neither of us like ice fishing so we look forward to open water pre-spawn pike action. It’s not fast and furious but we always find some fair fish. Total of three fish caught in about two hours all pretty much carbon copy females. The bigger fish will be showing up soon!

I was surprised had how much the pike liked this jerk bait minnow. I thought I'd get more bass than pike, but the pike were getting after it.
