cleaning chimney with fireworks

I experimented with this about three years ago, and it works great. First start with some fountains, that have a high sulfur content, these burn hot and emit a shower of sparks. The sulfur also loosens the creosote from the chimney wall. Then finsh with a small cake or 8-10 rockets to finish blowing the debris from the chimney. It makes a nasty looking mess in the snow, but the neighbors look forward to the show about every 6 weeks.

To me this isn't a very safe practice if you have to do it every 6 weeks, as a masonary contractor and bulit many fireplace chimmeys I would not rcomend it, somebody is right this belongs on the rednck thread BIGH

Beep Beep Beep. County paging Puhdunk Fire and Rescue to 1313 Duffas Ln. for a structure fire with injuries. Explosions reported by neighbors. Officer on scene reports Green Smoke, requesting HAZMAT. Chief 1 confirms Green Smoke, ordering Evacuation to 1 Mile, structure totally engulfed. Engine 1 to stay back, up wind, do not approach until sources of Green Smoke are identified.

Shouldn't this be on the redneck thread?....You know if you are a redneck if you clean your chimney with fireworks.

I have no fireplace flue expertise whatsoever, but the fireworks cleaning strategy strikes me as one of the dopiest I've ever heard!

Beyond that, I kinda like Dak's idea. Wink

Point being, about 90% of the time when someone calls another out for punctuation or spelling, the person calling the other out usually has the same issue in their post. Always enjoy that. Period. Wink

I love it when someone calls out another for punctuation or spelling, and then their post has the same issue(s). LOL

Careful, Bucky!

Wouldn't mind watching this from a few neighbors away, but I think I side with our punctuation challenged friend on the safety issue
