Fishing Algoma is one of the top sport fishing ports in the midwest and offers anglers pier fishing, launches for private boats, marinas and charter fishing outings with captains who provide the know-how and all of the equipment to land a trophy fish. Whether you are looking to reel in the big one on Lake Michigan, stroll our beautiful sand beach and boardwalk or just relax with a glass of wine from a historic winery after a day of shopping and sightseeing, we have a place reserved just for you!

Visitor Information Center

Located on Hwy 42 (Lake Street) and overlooking Lake Michigan, the Algoma Visitor Center is built on a public park. Open daily from Late May through Mid-October from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Otherwise VIC is open weekdays only from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Crescent Beach and Boardwalk - Enjoy the beautiful boardwalk and beach in downtown Algoma. Wheelchair accessible, plenty of picnic tables & benches, volleyball nets, soft sand, gentle waves and cool breezes!
