Drifted little wolf to shaws and then went down to round hole and drifted to just about guths. Came back to little wolf and did that stretch to shaws again. Long day with 9 eyes boated and 8 keepers. Had to work for em. Lots of donated tackle as always but used the cheap gum-balls today. Avoided deep drops/holes to stay away from wb and sturgeon. Lots of debris to watch out for. Still better days to come but ok day to soak up some sun and finally no wind.

need some helpful info here guys. we fiished up from new london on sandbars today and around some bends all to no avail. we tried drifting but couldnt keep our lines vertical with 3/8 oz jigs and didnt have anything heavier. i caught 1 big whitebass at 3pm before heading home discouraged. we didnt see any fish caught by the few boats out either. is nights better right now or are the fish farther down river towards gills or freemont?

Fished downstream of new London 7-11:30 am. Caught two keeper males right away. Caught a pre spawn female and 17" male at about 9:30. Released the female.  Best jig color was lime green.  Fatheads worked better than shiners. Nothing on night crawlers.  A couple fish came on stingers hook.  Would say that most fishing around me had about the same. River was crowded but for the most part I thought everyone was considerate.

There is zoos of people because they are catching fish. I was out Thursday, caught two fish on the first stretch. Caught another later in the day. Mostly males caught. Fishing is only gonna get better. People are catching fish from Fremont to Shioction. Best of luck to everyone.

Caught a still full 24" female Fri. afternoon and one 18" milker on Saturday. slow for us but saw a number of fish caught both anchored and drifting.

The spawner came out of 4 FOW at anchor and the milker from 20 FOW on the drift.

The shallow bite won't last long with the water dropping at this rate. They won't be able to hang in the marsh long....

Got out at 7 this morning. Managed 3 nice ones anchored up. Slower than yesterday. They're in the marsh spawning. Take a few days off guys. It's gonna be slow and tomorrow is just going to be a continuation of today's crap show.

a buddy and I had the idea of gettin out early today before the circus began. got on the water at 3am and fished all day, finally gave up around 5pm. spent the day drifting shallows and the deep holes, tried anchoring over the deep holes and also the shallow sides of the river. before and after the inside bends. covered from the train bridge in new london to a few bends past the northport bridge. tried every combination of jig type and color (probably multiple times) with only a few bites all day, and 1 12 inch male that wouldve made me embarrassed to keep.

marked fish on and off throughout the day, but couldnt get them to bite. this warm weather has them on a mission and nothing we threw at em caught their attention.

a couple days from now while ill be at work, new london is gonna be popping.  hopefully some of the the "out of towners" will make their way to fremont after an extremely slow day. ive never seen NL this busy.

Popped 5 milkers today. Wish I could say it was easy, but it wasn't. Lots of work anchored up. Lots of guys drifting. I never cut the anchors loose and start drifting til the down run. Not saying it doesn't work, but experience has me programmed to work the wolf this way.

Not a fishing report.  I'm looking for a fishing partner for tomorrow.  I have a 16ft Mirro Craft, not the fanciest thing but works well.  I am coming from Sheboygan and plan on leaving early morning and plan on fishing all day.  Message me if interested.

Fishing was hot. 3/8 ounce jig, no stinger needed. Caught a limit in 3 hours. Staying verticle was key. 10-15 feet depth was very effective last couple days.
