Raining 70°
Water: 72°
Fished today between the storms/rain. Had my autistic son along who just loves to catch any kind of fish. We had a blast with the walleye and even caught a couple to take home. 2 crankbaits won the day, catching 75% of the fish. They liked it fast over 2.5 GPS. Not many white's around which makes sense. Water 72 degrees.

Pulling into Groeler Rd launch yesterday a person that lives in the house at the end of the road at the T intersection was video recording or taking pictures of me while I made the corner. When I got out of the truck to prep my boat to launch they were on their back deck telling me to “get the F out of here, you don’t belong here.”  I called the DNR hotline and reported it this morning as I am a disabled vet and didn’t serve my country to put up with that nonsense at a public boat launch. The DNR said they would do what they could but the best way to handle this is to call the sheriff and report it immediately. If it happens to me again that’s what I will do but wanted everyone else to know that is how you should handle it if it happens to you. Sounds like this person has done this stuff before so keep reporting them. Not fishing yesterday just testing out the boat so nothing else to report.

Rjdrez2- The system is loaded with walleyes. Current flow will make fishing with young ones from shore a challenge.

will be fishing with the grandkids in about 2 weeks about 50 yards upstream of the hwy 59 bridge.  It will my 1st time fishing there.  What can I expect to catch at that time of year?  All the kids, 6 of them, are 6 and under so we'll just be drowning pieces of worm.

I’ve seen this is one of the only lakes in the area that allows year long fishing. Just wanted to see if anybody knows if it’s possible to launch a boat now, and if there’s still ice on the lake.

Considering an outing to Kosh tomorrow. Anyone know if the Vinnie Ha Ha access has walkable conditions?
