Was here the other day how about some shore action report! It was a good thing I looked on the lakelink before I came and fished here! I had what I considered a really good day here. Caught 3-4 whitebass, couple smallmouths and a walleye! The walleye was a strange fight, fought so weakly and up until it revealed itself I just though it was a tiny smallmouth, but boy I was wrong it was roughly 23-24 inch walleye, and it was hardly fighting and boy o' boy I bet the water temp has something to do with it. I didn't even want to get it out of the water just quickly unhooked and released it in the water. Good times out here for a first timer. Also thank you to the guy that gave us the header on how to catch the fish from shore. It DEFINITELY was key to finding fish.

Chuck booked a trip on Friday morning with his grandson Sean, and Sean's girlfriend Anna on "Pete". We fished a channel edge with dead rods tipped with Black Tail Chubs, and jigged 1/4 ounce round-ball jigs with large fat-heads. Chuck wanted to save a few for a fish fry, so we saved four "Keepers", and four huge white bass to fillet. Biggest white bass I have seen in quite a while. We released more walleye's, and white bass than we could count, along with a 30" pike, and a cat. Great morning on the water.

Half day today with Chad, Austin, Brett, and Brett! Lots of good memories made today and a few fish left behind for seed, as the boys were in charge of  netting and taking boards off, but that’s the price of learning! This is the third trip with these guys and it always a blast! Loving life and will see what tomorrow brings

Hello was wondering if someone could direct me in fishing Petenwell I just got a camper and got a yearly site.  I used to fish here years and years ago with my dad and we would drift for crappie and walleye but now I can’t seem to locate them I catch a few eyes and white bass.  Any help would be appreciated.  Also are the white bass good to eat.

Half day with Jason, jack and Ben fishing was tough today but we managed a few fish, biggest was a nice 25” And a few for eating.     Most of our fish came between the rain and when the sun came out we were in 9 to 14 foot of water today

Out today.

Caught 4 shorts, a cat and a few whites.  I would really appreciate anyone sharing some information on where to focus when trolling.  I don't need locations, but what to look for or focus on when fishing this body of water.  Fish suspend up or more so tight to the bottom.

Trolled 8-14 fow focusing on areas that had wood but that was sometimes a here and there kind of thing.  Might just need to spend more time out there.

Considering most people aren’t lake linkers, I think you guys are blowing into the wind. Fish die. Get over it. I’m willing to bet that you could multiply the “floaters” that you personally saw by quite a bit on a daily basis. Just because you aren’t where the dead ones are doesn’t mean they aren’t there, so does this mean we should just complain every day that we know there were poorly released fish somewhere on a daily basis? Naw. Sheet happens. complaining won’t prevent it. Education might, but hope you have  time for 12 hr shifts at the dock. Ya it isn’t great to see dead fish, but eagles got to eat too. Good day

I posted something like this a few weeks back when I had seen 3 slot floating, the same thing bob from gone again is talking about, with the water temps being so hot and the stress of the fight that the fish go’s through Even being out of the water for a minute you still have to hold the fish in the water for awhile to revive it until she swims away on it own. Please take a pic and hold the fish in the water (the way that they swim) by the tail until the fish is ready to swim away, the bigger the fish it usually take longer. DO NOT JUST THROW them back in the water. If your not sure on what I’m talking about call one of the guides I’m sure all of us would be happy to explain.I’ll shut up now, and good luck to you all!
