It was a very fun day with Jeff,Greg and Christine managed a nice 26 inch and a few eaters. Fishing been a little tougher sense Wednesday but the whites and cats are still plentiful. Fish were a lot shallower then in the beginning of the week and bright colors were better today

Hothead, I don’t know but I have all the brush piles we fished this week marked. No less than 4,372 sheep’s head landed. I’ll go back in February and verify for you! I’m about to start cleaning the bastards.

Ok this may be a stupid question but with all the sheepshead in the lake, does anyone catch them during the winter. As hard as they fight, that would be fun. Just trying to think of cooler weather.

Sorry for the late report but i was out 7/2, 7/3, and 7/5. Pulled harnesses the first 2 days and flicker shads the 3rd day. Didnt catch any whitebass on harnesses but caught way larger fish on them. Lost about a 38 inch northern at the boat even. With flicker shads i didnt catch anything of good size other than a few carp, plenty of whitebass though. I did lose 2 big fish with them that i believe were big northerns. Definitely will pull harnesses in the future.

I would be going out of the park on the west side. Do they have leeches there too?

Stauf are you going out of the county park?If you are you could get bait at the self serve shop up the road from the park.It is about 3.5 miles north on z.It is open 24 hrs.He has a good selection of bait and it is on the honesty policy as far as payment.

Are the water temps still high? Was thinking about chasing muskies tomorrow morning. Thanks for any info.

Are there any bait shops near the Pete that open early? Found out that JB at 21 and Z doesn't open until 7 AM during the week.

Fished the last 9 days out on the Pete!

Water temp has been around 78 in the early morning, mid 80’s in the afternoon. Hardly any wind most days till mid afternoon, been kinda brutal at times with the heat!

Bite has been very good, good numbers of keepers, slot fish, few bonus crappies and all the white bass you want.

Did have a big bug hatch before the 4th, bugs have toned down since then.

We have been catching 80% trolling 20% jigging live bait, trolling has been the ticket last 5 days with the warmer water temp. 12 to15 fow trolling, baits down 6 to 8 feet. Live bait jigging along the main channel in 18 to 20 plus fow.

Anyone looking to get out on the water, I still have Availability- July 16th,17th,19th,24th and 26th

Good luck be safe!
