I am 45 and have been fishing this lake on and off since I was a kid. Basically, I fish it because it's the closest lake to where I grew up and my parents still live nearby so I still fish it a couple times every year. Overall, compared to the other lakes in the area, I'd rate this lake significantly below average as far as the fishing goes. Little dinky bluegills, and snaky northerns make up 95% of the fishery. The other 5% are small bass which run pretty small too with a rare occasional keeper. During the day, jet skiers and water skiers are burning round and round this small 80 acre lake making fishing here nearly impossible. Get out in the early AM or late in the day to avoid this. What I am basically saying is there are better lakes in the area but if you feel lucky go ahead and give it a try. Drop me a line if you do any good.

I really wish they would update thier stocking reports cause they seam to be outdated. Anyway ...confirmed....absolutly no smallies on this lake. I think they mean the eyes they stocked years ago. Try the northwest corner for Bass and Northern.

Ive fished this lake since I was six and am now 36. Ive always caught at least one northern or largemouth in summer by throwing either a firetiger, silver minnow or perch looking rapala. You'll mostly catch snakes(northern) around 17-20" but I have caught some in the upper 20's and low 30's. Bass are the same way usually just shy of the size limit but every once in awhile I'll get a keeper. I havent tried Ice fishing this lake cause i dont trust the ice since they installed the ariators, which keep the lake fro freezing solid(It did happen right before we got our cottage up there), but i would imagine northerns on tip-ups would be common. Ive heard reports of some nice walleye being caught since they stocked it some 10 years ago, but Ive yet to catch one:(
