The fishing is horrible on this lake. If you want to catch 12" large mouths, then this is a decent lake to fish otherwise the lake has severely declined over the years. When I was a kid growing up, fishing was outstanding. Walleye, perch, northern, various kinds of panfish were abundant. It has been overfished over the years and has become way to populated with boat traffic and recreational use. The lake association has been treating the lake with chemicals for milfoil over the last decade which has destroyed any aquatic plant life. All for nothing, the lake is way to deep to have a milfoil issue and even at that only had a fraction of an acre with milfoil coverage that essentially was not causing any problems aside from 1 or 2 cottages on the lake. A large section of the lake that once contained heavy plant life where fish spawned and laid eggs was dredged simple for a nicer swimming area for 2 maybe 3 homes. The DNR allowed this to happen and since the fish population on this lake has been ruined. I would also like to point out that the reviews on this lake are incorrect. It does not contain any small mouth and the deepest point is closer to 80' vs 65'. All in all, great lake for swimming and boating, horrible lake for fishing.
