Currently as of 2012, the city of Marion is asking people to catch and release in this lake only because they recently drained it, and completely restocked it with small young fish. This was 2 years ago. Weeds are still going to be an issue for years to come here. I have seen some gills and crappies pulled out of Lion's Park area, but all VERY small yet.
