The water quality of this lake is fantastic. It is probebly one of the clearest in the area. It is an easy lake to fish as there are very defined weed lines. I beleive the fishing in this lake was very good a few years back. However, It has not been stocked in many years and it gets a great deal of fishing presure. You will catch fish but you will have trouble finding anything that resembles a trophy catch.

I moved here 5 years ago and the lake had a national rep for bass! I have seen some 14"-16" Largemouth and many small smallies. The other reviews go back to 2003-any other current fish ratings out there? I don't think that the DNR has stocked Nagawicka for several years.

I had great success in the kettle last year catching big blue gills but this year the lake seems dead i don't know what's going on but the fishing was a lot better last year I always fish in the winter and i always fish in over 40 feet that's where we always mark fish and it used to be where we caught them

A fantastic lake. Depths up to 96 feet, both clear and cloudy water all times of the year. Distinct weed lines and a wide variety of fish.

- MARK D from FRANKLIN, Wisconsin
When they're biting ice fishing for crappies in the kettle is great-we've kept 40+ fish between 10.5 and 13" after dark-this was a few years ago. Usually in 35 to 40+ feet-can be suspended anywhere. Never tried fishing open water here-usually in Shawano or Vilas County or on Pewaukee occasionally.
