Fished late afternoon to sunset. Caught about 15 bluegills however all small, the biggest being 7 inches. About 6-7 inches of black ice topped with 3-4 inches of crunchy slush. A lot of holes not freezing up, some were getting bigger. One other guy on the lake was hole-hopping and did about the same.
Ice: 8"
Went out today and the lake was alive. 15+ people tried their luck and probably a few more I didn't see. The Lake is still holding at 8 inches of ice. The surface is wet from melting snow but if we get a cold day that should freeze up.
I didn't catch anything special today probably 20+ small perch and gills. I did have a 12 inch bass give me some fun on 3lb test. I heard people around me chasing flags but there seemed to be a lot of drops.
It was a good day to get out.

I didn't fish today but others were out. At least 5 tents and several old holes. I went to check the ice as this is a spring lake and usually ones around it have a bit more. The ice 40 yards from the dock was 8 inches. The center of the lake was 8 inches and the east end toward the cabin which has several springs near it was also 8 inches.
Next weekend I'll be out. Rigging poles right now.

Got out today for a few hours. Didn't look like many places had people fishing but there were 2 on Ottawa. Caught about 50 gills but this nice almost 10 inch perch came by. Later a northern tried to eat my underwater camera. It was a good few hour. Most fish 2 feet off bottom but a few suspended.
Ice: 7"
Fished today. The ice was 7 inches with the top inch being frozen slush. The ice was popping and expanding today so more ice on the way.
Fishing was ok. Lots of small bluegills. Saw a few crappie and bass on the underwater camera.
Lots of tip up fishermen yelling flag all day so there was a good deal of action and little tripper pike.
