Was out yesterday from 6-12.   Mixture of smallmouth bass, walleye and yellow bass biting all day.

…with that said, can’t see coming back for awhile. This lake just seems very unhealthy and gets worse every year I return. Walleyes were never monsters but at least had a hint of gold, now they are stunted white cigars (but still numerous). Maybe some of the stocking efforts should be spent elsewhere instead, future of this lake not looking so hot to me with the worsening water quality. The carp removal doesn’t seem to have accomplished anything, should probably start with limits on ridiculous wake boats and/or water skiers not abiding by any semblance of no wake close to shore.

Channel cats mostly 16-24" are pretty easy to find a few most days with crawlers.
Caught one big flat head a few years ago, it looked near the end of a long life.

First outing here this year, and it was slow. Good news was that weed beds seem to be hanging in there, at least at my previous year waypoints. But the eyes were tough to find in the "usual" spots.  Kept moving and eventually got into them a couple hours into the morning . Boated about 18 total all between 14 to 16 inches, plus several yellows, a few gars, one cat  and two bite-offs.  Missed a couple dozen hits. It was dead calm today, and maybe that made the catching tougher.  Jig/minnow did the catching.

fished last night from 8 pm till 2 am from shore. couple nibbles here and there in the beginning. then in a 1 hour window i caught 2 walleyes and a rockbass and missed 3 others. then it shut down again. thought it would be nice weather so wore shorts and t-shirt. when i left at 2 am i was freezing. temp on truck said 46 degrees. it was chilly my friends. saw a nice sized snapper hanging out along the wall looking for a snack and a raccoon that scared the crap out of me by sneaking up behind me. when i turned around he got scared and hauled a55. didn't know fat coons could move that fast.
