Keesus Lake

Stopped by yesterday morning. 2 cars in lot / 2 people in Boles Bay. Tippy toed out 30 yds. Water by shore rose around rocks walking out. Punched 2 holes, 4 to 5 inches of very soft ice - NO THANKS. Lake might open up this week with the warm weather.

Lost 2" of ice last week. Main lake is black, looks like April ice. Holes drilled yesterday, ice was getting soft. Might be done for a while, eyeballing my boat. In January ??

Few people out yesterday.
None in Rice Bay and none visible in Boles Bay. Must have been in the rear 1/2.
On Sunday saw some flags pop in main lake outside the bay but no fish.

I was one of the cars in the lot today. 

Got there early and fished Bulls Bay in the morning. Caught a few decent bluegill and a few dozen small ones. One crappie. Bite turned completely off mid morning. The shack city migrated from the entrance of the bay to the back, so I imagine everyone experienced the same thing.

Fished here in the fall, and this bay seemed to have a lot fewer weeds than the year before.

Last video from the 2022 season It was a good one to end the year on. Cant wait to get back out here this year. Its right around the corner!
