Had a great time with Fishing for the Heart great job getting kids out on the ice my kids caught a pike and a couple perch there is 3 foot heave At the launch at reef point bar

I've been fishing this lake for about 15 yrs and still learning but really know the lake. Been out only once this yr but cold front came thru and only caught rock bass. But I think the lake can really be great, just have to put your time in and go when no skiers or jet skis r running about, it's slow no wake b4 10:00am and after dark or 8pm whatever comes 1st. I only fish for crappies and eyes, all on artificial lures no live bait and I do well. What those lures are I'm not going to say, only here to say trial and error got me fish. Don't like the lake fish somewhere else.

Caught 2 1/2 foot pike on western shore line in early evening. Not a giant but decent fight. Also, decent pan fish action on rocky southeast shoreline, most especially at dusk for furious rock bass action. Fun lake to fish. I go often.
