I have fished Matson lake many times and not have had any luck. But lakes near and around Matson I have had great luck. On Long lake I have caught a lot of huge northern and 13+ inch crappies.

The lake is tiny just like the fish you catch here. I've heard "stories" about guys catching giants. But I've been fishing this lake for 6 years and still haven't been able to land a big fish.

Small lake and hard to fish. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you want to catch tiny blue gills.
