Long lake is beautiful thanks in part because of the undeveloped scout areas....the group i fish with is about 9-10 people...if we catch a couple of walleyes during our week thats considered an extra bonus ....we are on 12 straight years now...back in 2008 our resort people told us to keep the bass you catch...the thinking is this will help the walleye population because of annual spearing...unfortunately in the last 4-5 years the only difference we have seen as a group is a steady decline in the size of the bass...yes i know long lake is the walleye capital of wis....but i would like more from the resorts to encourage catch and release....this is what we have done for the last 12 years.... bring a digital camera your next time out and let some one else enjoy the fun of catching a really nice bass....tight-lines
